The new, ambitious project of Andrea Lanfri, a Paralympic athlete and mountaineer from Lucca, who will travel across Italy in a camper for the next three months with one goal in mind: to climb the highest mountain in each Italian region, has begun. The tour, called “ItalyTour2025,” began on April 1 and represents much more than a sporting challenge. It is a journey that combines sports, social awareness, and land appreciation, with ISOLEX among the sponsors.
Lanfri, known for being the first multiple climber to reach the summit of Everest, has turned his personal story into a powerful message of resilience and rebirth. Stricken with fulminant meningitis in 2015, he was able to reinvent himself, becoming a symbol of determination and inner strength. This tour is not only a demonstration of his physical abilities, but also an opportunity to inspire those facing difficulties in life.
During the trip, Andrea will meet with schools, local associations and other athletes to promote Paralympic sports and raise awareness of the fight against meningitis. Each stage will be a time of sharing, “It’s not just about climbing mountains,” explains Lanfri, “but about conveying positive energy and showing that limits are often only in our minds. I want to make it clear that difficulties can be overcome with courage and determination.”
The tour will touch all regions of Italy, combining trekking, running and cycling. Each peak conquered will be an opportunity to celebrate not only the sport but also Italy’s natural heritage. Indeed, Lanfri wishes to enhance the beauty of Italy’s mountains and promote respect for the environment, making them the protagonists of a narrative that weaves together adventure and inclusion.
ISOLEX, which has already partnered with Andrea in previous endeavors such as climbing Everest, has decided to once again support this extraordinary project. “We are proud to support Andrea in this new adventure because he embodies innovation, determination and pushing the limits, all values we share.”
The trip will culminate in July in Tuscany, where it all began for Andrea. But the real finish line will be the message left along the way: an incentive to believe in one’s own possibilities and to see sports as a tool for personal and collective rebirth.
